image.jpgWent out to my favorite park to try out my new 13" ultimate coil and I found $1.21 in clad my first key and my first ring. I'm sure the ring is just junk cause it has no writing in the band but I don't care I'm pumped!! Also that top quarter is a 1965! So close to my first silver too! 1wheat penny but a couple others from the late 50's so for me, a very good day :) HH everyone!! image.jpg

Awesome! Congrats on the first ring and key! There's tons of goodies out there, and one day you will be surprised by gold! HH!

How deep was the 13" coil going for ya?
Keep diggin'....!!

My 1965 quarter was 8.5 down. Don't know if that's good or bad. I know right before I finally got to it I was thinking "maybe it was interference and I mistook it as a hit" then there it was. I was so close to silver!!

I'd say that's good for finding the quarter at 8.5". Looking to upgrade my Ace with one of those 13" Ultimate coils. As it is I am very happy with finding lots of gold and silver....just need the extra depth to get to those out of reach targets for the Ace 250. Looking forward to seeing more of your post and what you find "way down there"!!

I always figure that finding a key is a good sign because they sound great and are easy to find so if nobody has found it yet then maybe the site hasn't been hunted much.

Bill...wife and I did a road trip around your area last year. Traveled down Hwy. 49 N. to S. ......You've got some great and historical places to explore and hunt in your hood...:)

It's only a matter of time for you, Bill. It seems you've got the desire, all you have to do is keep on keeping on. We'll be waiting on the post.

Those 65 are way too easy to find! Been hitting a lot of them this year. Always soo close and no cigar. Haha. Great finds and it looks like u are def addicted now! Haha

Thanks everyone! This park I go to, is where the whole city would gather on 4th of July and watch the fireworks up until about 10 years ago they moved the fireworks location across town. I just know there are Tons of coins there, and even some very old ones. It's just a matter of putting in the hours and digging them up. I'm still learning my metal detector so I'll be at this park a while lol I've never seen anyone metal detecting before at any of our parks so I'm not sure how many people do around here. But I'll be hitting this park every weekend that they don't have baseball games and soccer games going on. HH
