I am meeting a gentleman tomorrow at StarButts to exchange 2 bills for this bag.

I think I see some silver. At least 1 IHC, and lots of drilled coins. he says 20% are drilled. One looks like a seated half. I dunno. for 2 dollars, can't go wrong.

Please help me identify from the photo. will post more pics tomorrow after I get the bag.

be careful though, if this is an ad on CL, there are plenty of scams out there... the person might not even show up, keep us posted! $2 seems a little too good to be true for a lot like this. Looks like a lot of "cheap" foreign copper coins from the 1800's, but those still have a demand.

the guy was super nice, and we both work near each other. so this will not be hard. I use CL 50 times a year, and this guy is coming off as a winner, at least over the phone.

he responded to my email with a phone call, in clear english, with a happy-go-lucky tone. He sounds like he Uncle Buck Melanoma, molly Russell's wart. And that's a good thing.

I will get my first IHC!

If I am looking at what you're thinking is a seated half, I don't think it is. The eagle (or what appears to be an eagle) doesn't look "right" to me from what I think I am seeing. At any rate, I'd pay the $2 just to look through them. Best of luck!

make sure you're not followed home!

he can help me with yard work!

All of it looks foreign.

all of it except the IHC, and the slick dime.

Its a great price, but I didn't see any silver, some nice large pennys from canida and maybe England. Nice find.

Lots of foreign coins, I think I see a Mexican silver, I'm not exactly sure. Be sure to post the contents of the bag when you're finished looking through it.

I will post early, and I will post often.

That dark coin with the horse figure on it is a fake token version of a celtic coin. I used to have one. Isn't that big silver eagle/liberty bell coin a dollar coin as it is? So that would be half your money back if all you did was spend it? Might be wrong.

Yep, that horse looking thing is a (cast) copy of an ancient coin. It looks like you've got some pre-decimal British bronze thrown in there, one almost looks like a George II? What interests me is the silver looking coin in the upper left between the Mardi Gras and the dog tag. It almost looks either like a love token or even a hammered coin. It also looks like there's a 10% silver Peso in there. Excellent deal for $2 and you will have to post the contents in full.

What were the results OP?

I am meeting buck-o in 1.5 hours.

I will get all the answers. Nothing popping out as good.

the IHC is ncased in resin. There is a fake 50 peso gold piece. Lots of britsh pennys, old style. Date barely readable.

I took my lunch break fetching these coins, now I have to have them wait in my bike bag a few more hours.

The flattened penny, I didn't take note. I will followup after work!
ps, I got some pullets last night, so I need to secure them, and make them happy. my first pets, other than family dog/cat as a kid.

Post the dates/mintmarks on the pennies, there are quite a few good dates/varieties, especially as it relates to the British bronze "Bun Head" coinage of Victoria.

Will do you, I have a bronze seated coin like your avitar, in the bag. Stoked to get the dates and types out to ya'll.
