Congrats, puts a smile on the face eh .

nice rings can't wait to find my first ring!

Pardon my ignorance, but when your detector goes off that deep, what's your next step? Are you able to scoop with the detector total submerged or do you have a float you can rest it on. Do you somehow mark the location so you don't lose it?

I have had a good couple weeks 6 rings. You will be thrilled when that first one shows up. I still wear all mine home when I find them. Good luck sir

I pinpoint the target just like on land. I mark it with my foot. I use a float to sift with. I use a scoop and dig where my foot is. The detector float enough to stand up with the arm cuff just above water level. It is more difficult to do in water. What I have found in sandy bottomed swimming areas is that rings are not real deep. I find most within 1 to 2 scoops. I made the floating sift you see. I will tell you how if you like

I made the float you see. It pulls along behind me. When I hear a target I pinpoint just like on land. I mark the spot with my foot. Pull my arm out of the detector and let it go. The cuff will stand up and float out of the water. I keep my scoop on the float. Usually a ring will not be very deep in a sandy bottomed swimming area. I find them most of the time in 1 or 2 scoops. I can tell you how to make a sift. Good luck sir

Absolutely. Is it just me or do those holes look too large to hold anything?

They are 3/8 and will hold anything a dime or larger. You can put fine screen under it if needed.

They are the same sized holes in a sand scoop. That is a plastic light grate from Lowes. I split a large pool noodle and wrapped it around the plastic. A few zip ties and rope.

I like your sifter good idea I need to get waterproof headphones that's what is keeping me in the shallows.Nice rings.

NICE RINGS & a very creative sifter . I.m just full of envy ,but GOOD LUCK in the future ... from a BullDawg,W/ family from TN. and AL and can not forget FL.
