1. Thank you to the Youtuber who made a video sharing that "asking to buy the half dollar coins from the coin sorting machine" was even a THING!!
2. SHAME on the LOSER who "complained to Corporate when 1 store said NO and 1 said YES" as that seems the reason I was denied;
3. (denied at 2 out of 4 stores today). TWO of the four store managers gave me the affirmative, and I plan on cultivating the relationship. Results..?
4. One store had $29 in the bag. The other store had $63 in the bag. So that's 182 coins to search or exchanging $91 in bills for $91 in half dollars.
5. As the photo shows, I got 2 un-circulated/proofish coins, 71 and 73. I got 1 Mexican 20 Centavo coin from 1963. This is arguably worth $0.73....
6. (9)40% coins (3/66,3/67,2/68,1/69), & (2)90% Franklin (1954,1963). The $29 bag yielded the 1963 Franklin, 1966, & the MEX.
7. The $63 bag killed it with the 1954 Franklin, and the other EIGHT 40%ers. I was blown away by the results. I was WOWED on the first $29 bag!!
Basically it was a bit of work, a bit of hassle, 2 rejections, 2 positive experiences, and I turned $91 into about $120. Easier ways to make bank.
8. I'll try again, & seek to maintain/build relationships with the 2 managers who worked with me today. Idiots! DO NOT COMPLAIN TO CORPORATE!
