The "BSR" button is a Bangor Street Railway button, c. 1890's. This was a Bangor, ME streetcar line which was originally conceived in 1887 as a horse-drawn line, but instead opened as an electric-powered one in 1890. In 1905 it became the Bangor Railway & Electric Co.

The other button is a Boston School Cadet button. The "A. [Abraham] Shuman & Co." backmark dates from the late 1800's to early 1900's.

Thanks PBK , That's a cool picture - I wish I had one of those trombones , I dropped mine the other day and it broke .
