I would put the face powder containers in the Art Deco era. Neat finds :) Breezie

Your cosmetic jar is from SnowFire, an English company. They've had cosmetic creams and facepowders advertised from the 1920's to 60's and up. Most have a different head and design as a logo though. Your particular logo is being a bit more difficult to find a dated example. I'm hoping that once found, it'll narrow down the date range...... These ones are listed as being from the 30's-50's

The large buckle is a "bat wing" buckle. There seems to be some debate as to how old they are. And God knows.......We don't want to be wrong or have "another" DEBATE!:laughing9:

I still think it's SnowFire not Snowfine.... Here's a tin with the same logo, and listed as 1930's-1950's, but take that with a grain of salt as it was from a seller's site. I agree with Breezie that it definitely looks Art Deco period....

I will share what I know about Bat wing buckles.. I have dug two of them before and they are fairly rare too find. The two I found were around early 19th century house sites (think one may been around a early 19th c. school house if i recall) but I do not think this Bat wing buckle is from the 18th century but more into the 1810-1830 period! They were used for harness buckles and some are found around 18th century places so lot assume these are 18th century but I do not think these buckles date too that time period!! The only reason they are found around lot of 18th C. places is due too later activity. If you are buying one on E-bay that states found around an 18th Century place and selling it as 18th C. then I do not think that is correct I think these date too 1810-1830+! IMO.
