Went hunting with my buddy today. We were hunting a dirt paper street behind his house and behind an empty lot where a school once stood. The 2 clad dimes and the IHP were recovered inches from the side of the road next to his house and the silvers and miner tag were behind the vacant lot. Fun day! 16955.jpeg

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Paper roads were common around this area. It was on a map as a road, and people used it as a road, but it wasn't really a road and I'm sure that is as clear as mud.

Great hunt !! Congratulations

That's some good finds. Never heard of a dirt paper street before. I learned me something new.

Often times they are used for easements, or they get vacated (given to property owners that abut the paper street). They were often proposed on maps for future development of a neighborhood.

around here, they are the pig trails that people get on because their GPS tells them that it is a good road and to take it

Lol! That could cause problems I'm sure!!
