I went down to the honey hole today. There is so much stuff and trash in this area it took me 2.5 hours to cover an area 20 feet by 6 foot. When I was done the whole area looked plowed lol. I was getting a hit avery 6 inches.

Anyway, I scored 2 more silver rings, 5 fossils, 3 pennies, a nickel, and a dime, 2 fishing lures, 4 sinkers, and a button.

Great finds man! Maybe you should just get a big sifter and dig!

In about 20 hours of detecting this place I have pulled out over 1,000 pull tabs, hundreds of fishing sinkers. I'm averaging one object per minute.

Wish I had a front end loader and a sluice box I could do the whole area in a day.

The crazy thing is... I HAVE ONLY DETECTED IN ABOUT 1% OF THE AVAILABLE VIRGIN HONEY HOLE.

Wow, what kind of fossils?

They are called Tylostoma, a snail that lived during the Cretaceous period here in central Texas.

There are 4 of them in this pic and they are about the size of a half dollar to silver dollar.
