I braved the freezing wind and muddy ground to go out and get the cure to my Cabin Fever! I headed to my favorite park to check on the progress of some construction I had seen a couple months earlier. Some old paths were scraped up and new scrapes were made for their replacements. The ground was sloppy muddy on top of frozen tundra and no fun to hunt. After sliding down a slick hillside, I decided I had enough fun and that My Cabin Fever wasn't getting cured at all.... On the way back to the car, I hunted along an old fence where they had cut out all the undergrowth along it allowing me to hunt ground I had never been able to. I pulled up about a dozen wheaties, and indian head cent, a Roosie dime, and the biggest surprise - a Standing Liberty Quarter! This was on the surface under the ground debris and I though it was a clad quarter at first. It is also the first dated SLQ I've found in 7 years! many dateless ones between then and today. Now I think my Cabin Fever got a good shot and it should be getting better! HH, Mike.

wow great hunt, congrats

Mike, hard to believe in 7 years with all the silver you have found that this beautiful DATED :) SLQ is special, but even if you found a dozen dated in that time frame, this one looks top notch!

Glad you got Quarter, since hunting in less than ideal conditions and not enjoying it, can put a damper on yourself, but a nice piece of silver can wipe out that feeling in an instant.

Great first hunt, congrats on the haul. As already mentioned that slq is a beauty

Now that is a sweet hunt. Congrats on your dated SLQ! I've only found two of these coins and both were undated. Keep it up at that park, there's bound to be more to show up.
