Went out yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours with my new T2 se. It's more of a relic machine than a beach hunter, but I think it did pretty good! Got some clad, a bottom rig, and a ring! The ring is marked 10k wj virtus junkit mors non separabit. Maybe a Masonic ring? Anyways a pretty good day for me! camera 019.JPGcamera 023.JPG

Nice finds. Congrats.

Guess what? You are correct! It is a Masonic ring. The inscription inside is in Latin and in English says "Whom virtue unites, death will not separate." Looked up on ebay and the ring you got is worth about $300! :skullflag:

You know, I went out to a more secluded area of a beach and forgot to take my Excal but had my Teknetics G2 in the trunk and used it in the wet saltwater sand and it worked great! I was very impressed.

My wife would sure be happy if I could get any good money for it! She's still a little sore about me getting that new machine :laughing7: Thanks for the info! **mr.b

Yeah, I mostly relic hunt, but I also hunt the beach fairly often. I was a little worried about this machine on wet sand, but I've been pretty impressed with it so far. Went back out today, and it did fine.

Congrats! Your on your way to paying the new machine off already.

I'm sure a current mason would appreciate buying something like that then the scrap man. Great looking ring.
