but I'm still excited. My phones in the red about to die so I'll have to post pictures later. Basically I found a handful of common coins wrapped in an old welfare letter (dated 1964) and placed in an Altoids tin. All the stuff inside the tin is wet and nasty, I need to wash the coins off. The dates I can read though are early 2000's going back to the 70's. Nothing big I know, I'm excited anyhow.

Nice finds and post pictures when you get your phone charged mcb.

Sounds interesting!

They smelled so nasty it was pretty difficult to clean. Nothing special here so I used dish soap and hot water.

Bet you that got your heart pumping! Nice little cache.

I was excited. I just commented a little while ago on coin caches. I was like OMG when I found it haha.

Nasty, smelly, it doesn't matter! You got yourself a cache!

Ya got plenty of quarters & numerous coins in your first cache -- CONGRATS! :notworthy: My first (and only) cache was a plastic Easter Egg containing a quarter & a nickel, ha-ha. And ya better believe I took pics of it, whee! :laughing7: Have found several nice coin spills but no more caches yet. HAVE FUN! Andi

Just think...You saved yourself digging several dozen holes to get that! Nice stash.
