1st Silver of the year, Not Half bad

I had the other day off before my weekend of work so I thought I would go fishing at the lake and then metal detect in the afternoon. No luck fishing in the morning. So in the afternoon I picked out a few spots to detect. The first was a bust. So I tried another spot. Under the shade was great but the sun was a hot one. I found some quarters, pennies, a wheat (1956), a key fob and some other junk. Nothing notable. I was getting later in the day so I thought I would try one more spot. You can say my luck changed. The coin was maybe a inch or 2 under the dirt. The CTX gave a nice solid 11-47. I thought can slaw. Nope not this time!! Below are the before and after pics. Oldest and largest silver to date. I will definitely go back to the site. I think I will digging most of my targets after finding this coin . Hopefully I will find some others.. Thanks for looking. HH

Thanks for looking,.. I was really surprised when the coin fell out of the plug. Luckily no scratches from the shovel. I went back to the same area and found another silver coin. I will post the two together..

Sweet half!! I've only got one big silver and it's not even a Walker, mine is a Franklin. My boy has found a couple walkers swinging next to me and even a 1943 Florin but, Walkers and I just haven't met "yet". To say I want a Walker bad is an understatement. Lol
