I Could not resist to go back to where I found my 1892 Indian . I figured I have nothing to lose so I would give it an hour or so. I found this small buckle, some trash but no clad.. this was odd so I changed up the dfx settings to coin and jewelry and I get a solid vdi of 85, hmm a quarter I thought, nope a Beautiful Silver spoon, with great detail, the top has an angel sitting ( wendell manufacturing Chicago 1885) Ariel was one of the archangels, representing the spirit of "healing and new beginnings." This romanticized, Art Nouveau rendition of the cherub is depicted as an infant, grasping a vine and resting upon flower blossoms. Original details from the fine casting are still intact. This is a real collector's piece!
The Ariel pattern was issued in 1895. The Wendell Co. was in production only from 1850 to 1900. This was their most famous, and now scarcest pattern. sorry no good pics, anyways I continue and get another good signal, I pop up a metal tube that says Revlon lipfashion (1948?), so two trips 1892, 1895, and 1948 goodies, gonna keep going back has to have some silver coins in there!!
