1st Indian Heads found...in junk box.

Neck pain kept me from breaking out the detector this weekend, so my wife and I went to a local auction instead. I purchased a box of old frames at the auction for $5. Going through the junk after getting home, I found this framed set of 10 Indian Heads at the bottom of the box. I always thought my first IH would be found with a detector on an old farm, not 10 of them in a junk filled auction box!

Not sure if I want to take it apart and store the coins properly or leave it together and hang it on the wall. If I do leave them together, I would get a better frame for them. The condition of the coins isn't great, but who can complain for $5!

You did much better than you could have with the detector. That is a very nice display. The coins themselves are worth at least $1 each. I would hang in on my wall.

I say leave it as is. The dark frame makes the display stand out. Anything lighter would detract from it.
