After hundreds of pull-tabs and other hooey since January, a half dollar! It rang up 94 with iron grunts, about 10 inches down. At first I thought it was a soda can since it was so shiny. A very happy moment:) walking.jpg

Great find man! My first silver ever was a 1943 Walker. Nothing like seeing that big silver disk popping out of the ground!

Congrats on your first Half Dollar. The Walking Liberty is a beautiful and welcomed coin to dig.

Probably my favorite U.S. coin design. Congrats on a fantastic coin.

Nice save Richard, those are really good looking coins in my opinion. I want one too, maybe someday. LOL Great find, you should be proud!

Congratulations on your first Silver Half Dollar. A Walking Liberty Half is a great way to do it!

congrats on your first half dollar - always great to see in the hole!

Nice hunk of silver! :icon_thumleft:

love those walkers. such a beautiful coin. congrats!

I think back to the days when these coins were in everyday pocket change. I would collect the best one and throw back into circulation the coin of lesser quality. Had I only known then what silver would be going for today--or when it was in the 40s.......
Don.......
