spent about 1 hr in the woods today metal detecting behind my house nowhere where people could shoot me hunting. managed to find a pile of s-caps by mistake even though i notched them out. found an old shotgun shell cap with peters no 12 on it. after some history searching found that the shell cap is anywhere between late 1800's to about 1960. not sure if made by remington or peters considering the change in ownership/manufacturer. Spent about 5 more min digging while burning some leafs to find a 1969 penny. I'll take that for my coin find for the day : ), beats the piece of rusted iron size of my finger nail i found in the woods.
