19th Century With An Anchor, Trident & Chain - Any Ideas?

From the woods today. This small (brass?) item measures 1" x 1/2" and features an Anchor, Trident, and Chain to one side. Any suggestions as to what it might be or what it came off of?

Can't help ya on the i.d., but that is one neat find and am curious as to what exactly it is. I love finding the old nautical and/or Navy stuff. Maybe PBK will come back with an i.d. for ya? Nice find regardless of what it is!!

Great find Bookfisher, I bet someone was really peeved off to lose that winder, it's a beauty.
Well Id'd Crusader. The winder was also my immediate thought - just goes to show how much I'm learning from you all here
