Found this today in Northumberland Virginia around a house site that dated from the 1820s to the 1890s - have found lot of good 19th c relics around this site before, haven't hunted it in almost 3 years though.


I do know this hat pin is earlier than 1912 because the VMI hat pins produced after 1912 had a clip pin attached to the back- this does not. If anyone knows please chime in...
