Hi All,

I picked up a nice collection of images that included Horace Greely and a couple of occupationals. These two images were in the collection too. I know that I have seen the image on the right before and I am trying to place a name to the face. Both images originated in Boston and the image on the right was taken by the noted photographer J.W. Black.

Any help is appreciated.

I think he means he's seen that particular photo before.

Perhaps if you contact one of the places that have collections of his work they may gbe able to help you out.

You get any response to this?

I know that man has to be someone important, I cant really place him though.

Nothing yet. I have sent off some emails, and I have a very knowledgable history professor at the local university that I am going to take them to on Monday. If I find anything, I will post it.
