Been finding alot of dimes in our tills at work that are like that...at first, I was keeping them, just in case...but they appear to be common and I couldn't find anything regarding any value other than the normal 10 cents.

Thanks for the replies. Heck, a dime's not even worth a dime anymore unless it's silver.

Good hunting, John K

I cant tell from the pics but is the reeded edge complete? Is it the same size as a normal dime?

You know....you just brought something up that reminded me of something...when I find these in the tills (1991 I have found to have been quite a few)....it appeared the bust was larger than a dime without the rim off center....and when I sized up the dime to another...it was only slightly bigger....not by much...but slightly...I wonder cause of the off center strike...would that give the illusion of the bust looking larger?

If the coin is bigger than a normal one or if the reeded edge was not there then you then you would have what is called a broadstrike.

Is a Broadstrike something worth keeping? I'll see if I can find any in the tills tonight...thank you.
