You guys ever see a qaurter without reeding? I have a 1995 quarter that my son found and it has no reeding at all. It doesn't seem that the reeding has worn off or has been ground off because the quarter is still the right dimensions. It almost seems as though the reeding was never there in the first place. Any ideas?

Thanks

hey dudes 2112 do you have a pic of your coin because if you did it would be alot easier to see if it really an error coin or not.

I think it's an error as well. I measured it last night with verniers and it's exactly the same size as a regular quarter. Hopefully I can get a close enough picture with the camera...

yah i think its an error because it would take a long time to do that and anyway. How could you smooth the edges perfectly without any inperfection, its gotta be an error coin. But i dont the name for an error of this type. You should really research iut some more. If you cant find anything about it I advise you to show it to a professional coin grader or a local dealer. I know thats what I would do.

Thanks coinguy, my son's all excited about it and there is a local place that does free verbal appraisals, looks like we'll be heading there on the weekend.
