While at Burger King to day I found a penny on the floor. While finished with lunch I had a few minutes to kill so I pulled out my loupe to look it over. It was a 1994, no big deal till I seen the A&M touching, showed it to a few others and they agreed it's a close AM. Checked all over the net but I couldn't find any info on the coin. I found info on the 92 but not the 94.... other than driving a hour to the nearest coin shop maybe someone here could tell me where to find the info. I'm sorry but for the life of me can't figure out how to post pics, but the A is def. touching the M...any help would be greatly apprec...ffej

As for posting your PIC's, whatever program- jumpdrive U use to look at the pic's right click on the pic in question hit edit, then look for stretch & skew shrink them down to around %25 ; remember where your Pic is go to TNet site and BROWSE for drive the pic's are on,............ . Hope that helps some.

Here is a site that lists the Wide AM and Close AM Varieties in order of rarity -
http://www.lincolncentresource.com/wideams.html

Beginning in 1994, the mint began using the old Wide AM reverse on all proof strikes
and the new Close AM reverse on all business strikes. In other words, instead of using the same
reverse on both proof and business strikes, the mint began using different reverses on cents dated
1994 and beyond. If things went according to plan all proof cents dated 1994 and on would have the
Wide AM design, and all business strikes would have the Close AM design.

Welcome to T-net!

Sorry to dissapoint you, but all 1994 pennies are close am's.

Nothing like looking like a major dummy on the www....but I knew this is the place to find answers ....Thanks for the help....on the upside, I did find a penny :headbang:

And thanks for the help Obediah on the pics....

I got one myself, i think lol i have mine posted with a pic to make sure that it IS indeed a close AM. i messed up in my excitement and posted wrong pic but did add the right one to it. i found a site, which i can't recall nor did i save, but it said the value was an easy 200.
