A teller at my bank mentioned a rare high value one dollar bill 1988 I believe. Anyone know about it? 44, 000 printed

The lowest printed '88 bill I'm aware of is the Villalpando/Brady , web-fed (versus sheet fed) Series A from Atlanta --640k printed (retailed for $800 in VF-20 a few years ago). You might ask your teller for more specifics; like what series, who signed and who was the issuing bank. If the bill is an 'error bill' that would be different; but I doubt, even then, that the quantity would be known.
