It appears that you have a "Large Date" copper 1982-D Lincoln Cent.

approximately one width of a normal rim will fit between the 2 and the rim itself on a large date. if it's a small date then about two widths. ps width of rim looking at coins obverse or reverse not the width it's edge

That is not a perfect or near perfect way of determining if a 1982 dated Lincoln Cent has a "Large" or "Small" Date. It is so much easier to tell the difference by the diagnostics of the font of the "2" in the Date!
