I'm no expert on mint errors but that is one interesting cent.

Looks like glue, or some other adhesive that dries clear was between pennies, yours being the middle of three. Soak in acetone overnight, brush lightly, and it should start coming off.

This question comes up rather frequently.

Time for more coffee.

hahaha,, you guys kill me with that fake talk,, here maybe this picture would be more believable,, remember, im here to learn , not get corkey assumptions, Believe,46183022_349974265757794_8271135318694952960_n.jpg 46105715_588663581589260_5639409973680144384_n.jpg here are a couple pictures of your so called glue idea... last time i checked neither glue OR EPOXY, are not copper looking or reflectantes, ,, :) ,,

The only advice I can give, since you do not want to consider the opinion of others, some with decades of experience with coins, is to take it to a local expert.

oh i considered it being a fake,, the first week i found i i believed it was fake,, it was the other people who pushed me to believe i may have something unreal, i took this to a guy i know who owns a antique store which specializes in coins /guns/ tools. 40+ experience,, the problem was, hes not a grader and could do nothing but tell me i needed to get it appraised asap i understand it looks fake,, a triplestruck reverse with a doublestruck obverse with roosevelt being the sandwich?.. lol.... too much going on ,, Iget it, the only thing i do know is in 1979 the denver mint had a incident that kept over striking coins, it even created one huge cluster of about 30 coins together that sold in auction for about 10k, i stick to believe this is not fake,, plus you just seeing a image.. anywhom thanks for everyone opinions here are a few more images, one is of the edging on the coin, last time i checked glue or epoxy does not shine46183022_349974265757794_8271135318694952960_n.jpg 46105715_588663581589260_5639409973680144384_n.jpg 46221916_1825236054254037_4406328170123362304_n.jpg 46134626_560116471069063_3074487098288373760_n.jpg 46151691_528275950916815_7467180177471045632_n.jpg All signs show u guys have no faith! haha,,

That is a great coin. Im going under the assumption that it is a mint error a collector would pay well for it. I dont see anyones life being that empty as to need to post a hoax coin. So nice find!!!!!!

Welcome to tnet also!!!!!!

so glad i finally have someone with me, you da man Tommy, you also right, i wouldn't waste my time on posting a hoax, its what i have to do to find out why im holding such a penny. i appreciate the comment so much you can get the first supporters check.. :laughing7:

Welcome to Tnet....
Now I’m not being a Richard, and I’m not hating on you.... but what I see, is a penny that was squeezed hard by two other pennies.
The outer tow pennies would have gotten marked up and damaged pretty good, like with a vice, but the middle one?.... would look exactly like that.
That being said, value in my estimation is one cent.
Hopefully for you an expert proves my theory wrong.
