1972 halves?

New to roll hunting, found these 2 1972 halves that have a raised area around the bust, you can feel it with your finger. The rest of the 1972's it was not there. Is this a called die error and worth saving? Thanks for any info.

It is simply a weakly struck coin, not a die error. The coin was not minted quite hard enough and flow lines on the surface of the metal was the result. Keen observation though.

Part of the issues with 1972D halves is a result from overpolished dies. This is evidenced by the no “FG” and weak “FG” on some reverse dies. This overpolishing, alone, can give the appearance of a weak strike, and is at least part of what you are seeing.
