1970 s Nickel. Proof or not?

A proof, or not a proof? That is the question.

It has a VERY reflective surface as shown in the third picture, and an s mint mark, both signs of a proof.

On the other hand, it doesn’t have sharp details, as shown in the first and second picture. A sign it’s not a proof.

With that much wear from circulation it doesn't matter. Do you know what a proof coin is? Google or any search engine is your friend.

I have an idea of what proofs are, I know that they are made specifically for sets. I know that they have a very specific look. I don’t know much else beyond that. I’ll look up more info on them later.

Either way, I’ll call this a learning experience. Thanks for telling me.

Not just "reflective". Proof strikes are mirror-like. Very smooth & very shiney. Once circulated - it doesn't matter.

That looks like business strike too, albeit a nice one.
