Any chance anyone knows the value of this found in Australia :) also any hints for cleaning it up? 20170109_105208.jpg20170109_105226.jpg

worth exactly 10 cents USD. As for cleaning you could drop it in hot peroxide or just drop it in some lemon juice.

one site on the internet said 1968 One Dimes are worth between .10c and $49.50 but was unsure why?

Tumble it with the rest of your coins.

I can't really see any reason to clean the coin to try to get it in any better condition than it is now as it is currently and will in the future, only be worth .10 Cents!

What exactly is the end result you are trying to achieve by cleaning it? Not that it will matter if you do, just curious?

I think that the OP is in Australia... so this is an extremely rare find for him.

Thanks Carolina, yes we dont get many American coins here so dont find too often.
Will keep and clean anyways..... Cant spend my .10c American in Australia anyways :)

Well done sir.

Here in the USA, those dimes literally litter the ground. We all spend them daily. You might find (10) or more on an average hunt... so people here were wondering what the big deal was, I guess that they didn't realize that coin was 14,000 miles from home.

I found this coin, and everyone thought it was just killer, because it is large and has a kangaroo on it! I am sure that your ground is littered with these, but we found it very interesting. Turnabout is fair play!

You'd be right :) But I still like finding the old Penny's some are actually worth quite a bit of money if you find the right year20170112_164051.jpg
