1961D possible error?

I really have no idea if this is an error or not, sorry for the poor image quality (it's the best I can get for close up shots). As you can see in the date, the 1 isn't a 1 at all, it looks like it says 196/ as the date.

If this is an error, any idea as to how much it may be worth?

Sorry, it is not an error! The "1" in the Date took a hit from an unknown object and suffered Post Mint Damage (PMD).
