1955s cent

If it was in VF condition red book only says the 1955S Cent is worth .20 cents. So you got ripped off. No one should pay have to pay $5 for a wheatie in G-4 condition. Its insane. My redbook is the 2008 version. I know thye released the 2009 version but I am pretty sure it is the same prices in the same book. Except for Silver which probably has gone up within the last year.

Hi Marshall, If You think You would like to Buy coins, You have to have a Red Book, or buy from a coin shop You know well. My coin shop had a bid wall. Alot of fun.

Marshal, unless the cent was slabbed by a reputable co. at MS-64 or higher, you probably overpaid. But, this is how you learn how to buy, by making little mistakes. It's no big deal. Take the other guys advice and get yourself a current "Red book" and study it, then study it more, then go out and start buying. Good luck to ya, Gpurs...

I just bought 2 unc 55-s's at a coin shop. One for .50 and one for .95. I think $5.00 in way high unless it's slabbed.
