congrats skane! that wheatie is in great shape.all of the ones i dig around here are beat up. the soil must be extra hard on them around here. great finds.

As far as the soil, I found this in the dry sand of a tot lot so someone must have had it in channge and then lost it. park was built in 1992.
 

Nice wheatie - make sure it's not one of the rare 1955 double die obverse - thse are worth big bucks!

Oh trust me I did...I tried like heck to find another 1955 under there, but couldn't do it. ;D

Eye sight! Eye sight! I can't see nothing close up without my glasses & a magnifier. That's why I need a metal detector.
