Yesterday, I found three wheat pennies. One of them was a 1955 s. After posting, Somebody said to check it for doubling. I did, and think I actually found something. I would like clarification. Do you guys think this is doubled? This picture was not taken under a microscope.

Look at the words “God” and “ We” near the top.

I definitely see something like doubling, but I want to know if anyone else sees it.

This is what a 1955 DDO looks like, I could be wrong but I don't think there was a 1955s DD.

I just compared the pictures of that coin to mine. I may actually have a ddo. I can see the doubling on “In God We Trust.” I see it in my photo.

Let’s see if others can chime in and help out also.

Thanks!

I hope you can see it with these. Had to zoom in really close.

I was very fortunate and picked up out of the bank when they came out a whole roll. Mine look like Jnicholes post.

what I believe you are seeing is called die deterioration doubling...a very minor variety with no premium

Definitely not the 1955 S doubled die. Look at the location of the mint mark, very different from the one pictured on Variety Vista.
