1952 lic plate

I dug up this plate yesterday. In great shape, buried about 8 inches. Cleaned it up and hung it on the wall.

A little smaller then todays plates but it is 6 by 10.5. looks smaller in the pic

real nice, theres a few old cars out back of the honey hole were we hunt, most of the cars are buried under years and years of debris, I'd love to pull up an ol license plate but with all the signal in there it'd be a tough one. great find.

what did you use to clean it - oxalic acid (?)...that works great on plates...tins...beer cans...anything rusty with paint underneath the rust.....takes off the rust...doesn't harm the paint.....

Just used palmolive and water. cleaned up great
