I was out scuba detecting with a buddy this weekend and found a bunch of silver coins, jewelry and a couple gold rings. One ring was a 1950 St. Thomas Academy Class Ring. Weighed in at 18 Grams. It took me a total of 5 minutes on the internet to find out who the owner is. He is now 82 years old and lives in Fort Worth Texas, I found the ring in Minnesota. We chatted a bit and he was quite surprised at the recovery. I got his address and the ring is on its way back home! :icon_thumleft:

Bet that made his week !! Way to go !!

Amazing that you found the guy that fast, very cool, good job.

18 grams is a honker of a ring !!! Love the return!!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. That ring has been down in the muck for 64 years, it looks like it is brand new - gotta love that gold, even 10K lasts down in the murky depths :icon_thumright:

:notworthy: Absolutely gorgeous ring & super return! :notworthy: So glad you were able to find the guy who lost it! :notworthy:

I lost my class ring 55 years ago and would be amazed & thrilled if it ever turned up -- I think mine ended up falling into small trash can at home & then went to reside in the city dump. Many years later I searched the likely crevices in the house it could've fallen into, but no luck. Live & learn! Have fun! Andi

My pastor once asked the congregation to pick just one word to describe Jesus Christ. My word of choice was " selfless". It also describes you sir. Many folks would just send it on to the scrap buyers without a second thought. God bless, and HH, Brother Al.
