Re: 1950 C Ten Dollar Bill...worth anymore than $10?

Yeah, I'd say it's worth more than face value ~ but how much more I don't know. Not only is it an old green seal Federal Reserve Note, it's also a "star" note ~ see the little star at the end of the serial number? Star notes are replacement note. They were printed to replace notes that were errored during the printing process. Insteed of reprinting the errored notes, they replace them with star notes.

Nice find!

I didn't see the star until you pointed it out. Thanks

Nope, not to me :)

The United States Red Book of Paper Money says in EF-40 it is worth $150.00

Nah...seriously? That would be great if it is. How do I grade currency?

How many creases it has, foldered corners, colour loss, paper wear etc all de-value it. You need a near mint looking one or a rare type to get any good money. List it on ebay & see the response, might do OK.

Nice find, and I understand that the star will add value to it; how much, only EBay can say!

Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to add it the collection rather than sell it. I will probably be worth a bit more in 50 years.

Cheers!

Nice old star note. My wife got these in change from the bank. The next day I needed some one dollar bills out of her purse. I should of checked the same day and hurried back down to get the rest. Sequential order and star notes.
