Beach day as the normal, amazing weather here on the east coast of Florida. Started in the pre-dawn with the wet sand to get as much low tide in as possible. Half ounce of lead sinkers, few fishing spoons, maybe $2.50 in clean clad, another few encrusted coins seem to be modern US. Mid morning approaching did some grossing in the dry sand and this ended up in the scoop, initially assumed it was a Kennedy half dollar. I was partially right. Cleaned up very nice, 1944 San Fran mint mark .50$

I'd forgotten all about them! Had one in my coin collection years ago - ex got that....

Absolutely great find!

Those are neat coins! Nice find!

yep silver --made by the san fran mint during WW2 when the Phillipines was still part of the US territories.

Holly silver batman, I don't see much silver on the beach around here. Nice find.

Ya it's indeed a nice coin, was a surprise to see it in the scoop. I think it was some fisherman's lucky one fell out of his tackle box or something to that effect. Thanks for the comments. Be safe out the and positive thoughts bring positive rewards.
