I've been detecting at the Oronoco Park and things are getting slim.
The Oronoco picknic grounds go back to the 1860's and they had 4th.of July parades, bands and picknics.

In June 28,1898 a maple floored dance pavillion was built and finished by the 4th of July 1898. Heres what the pavillion looked like next to Lake Shady. The pavillion burned in 1926. There was a horse barn and a few cabins back then and after the pavillion burned the people moved away.

The restrooms were built in 1939.

Right next to the tot lot was the location of the pavillion than the woods that gave up a few coins. And west of the restrooms is a hill that circles around with woods were a few cabins were located and only footings remain.

:icon_thumright: sweet finds looks like a great place to hunt

Nice finds!
There's probably more than a few keepers left there and in the water and woods. On those days when the finds are slim just look around and take it all in cuz it sure is a beautiful place to spend a few hours.

WTG on your finds. Seems like that is a great site to hunt, especially with all that shade and water
