1940 NewYork Wolds Fair, butnot sure what it is?

Hi guys,
Dug this up 3 inches deep at a old park. It says this on it:
American institute Sience and Engeneering club
Investing house building
NewYork Worlds Fair 1940
The back has nothing on it smooth flat back.
Don,t know what it is though,coin,token,medal,or something else?
If you can tell me id apritiate it people! Thanks for looking!

ps. sides are not smooth,its a design on outer edges.
