Got out with a couple of hunting buddies today and made some nice finds on video. I dug a 1951 Quarter, 2 Buffalo nickels, a broken signet type ring and the complete 1939 Worlds Fair ring which is my new favorite find 8)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Took the ring up to a jeweler that I know here in the city who helps me out with some of my finds. He gets a kick out of the things I bring him I mean, this guy works on very expensive jewelry and I walk in with something like this crusty ring. With that said, he treats every crusty piece I bring him as if it was worth a fortune.
He didn't disappoint with the restoration of this ring, he did a great job cleaning it up without losing too much detail and I couldn't be happier with the result.
Why the 5" coil? (Nice ring . Where is the Ghost at?)
Re: 1939 Worlds Fair Ring
Congrats on finding the 1939 New York Worlds Fair Ring! :notworthy:
They introduced a 'new technology' at that fair, it was called the television! :thumbsup:
I'd look at getting that ring professionally restored, I've never seen a New York World's Fair Ring exactly like that one before! :o
Thanks CF, small coil for hunting the heavy trash areas, paid off the last two weeks hunts. The Ghost is in Michigan visiting family, he should be back Wednesday :icon_thumright:
Thanks for the info Dave, didn't know TV was introduced then, that's cool. I think I am going to get it restored/cleaned. I just noticed that on the top of the swirling ribbon that has the words "Worlds Fair" it says "New York". GL and HH to you :icon_thumright:
I like the suggestion of getting it professionally restored- I will have to keep that option in mind anything remotely as cool!
I'd try and find an on-line image of what your ring looked like when it was new.
Then I'd set myself a price on 'what it's worth to you' ,then get a professional
to restore it properly! :thumbsup:
If you want to PM me your email I'll send you pics of a colonial ring that I had restored.
