1939 and 1940 Jefferson?

Are these silver? I looked on http://www.coinflation.com/ but they didn't have these years. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Neither the '39 nor the '40 Jeff. 5c contained silver; instead, 75% copper, 25% nickel

The only silver in the jefferson nickles were 1942 - 1945 (and even then not all of the 1942). If it is 1943, 1944 or 1945, it is a silver nickle. If it is a 1942, look at the reverse. If it has a large mintmark above the dome of the monitcello, it is a silver nickle (the 1943, 1944 and 1945 dates will also have this large mintmark). If there is not a large mintmark above the dome, it is not a silver nickle.
