Last year I was in a mini drought. My wife wanted to go out to eat and I wanted to dump the skunks on our way to dinner. So I told her she'd have to help me unwrap the last of the box. She sits down picks up 1 roll and unwraps it and says ooh I found one. The only keeper of the day 3 box's she comes down and pops on her first roll...EVER..!! mind you. She never helps me. :icon_queen:
I just set it aside like a seasond vet and kept unwrapping, We finished up and I take a look and see its a 38 hm-mm flip it over and BAM :o it's gotta D mint mark. I just about Sh** my pants. :D Grab my red book look it up and it lists it at $95 in G4 Woo Hooooo. :icon_sunny: I figure it to be at least VG. my first and only 1938D Walker.... so far.... :tongue3:

Man I love this Game.

My wife is the same way. When I open a roll I first edge check for silver. Then I let her pull the coin out because she likes to see the "Walking Ones" that we find. She actually is disapointed when its a silver Kennedy or Ben. She just likes the Walking Lib design. Buy the way, I have tried to get her to open her own rolls, she just has no interest in doing that. She lets me do the opening - then she jumps in & helps when it looks like a winner . Ron

Nice find! I would also say VG. The PCGS site has a graded G4 listed at $130 on their price guide. Not bad for .50 cents.

AW/DRM BOX

Not shure what you mean by tour comment ?? Am I shure it's worth $95 and than called it a worn out lady?? Like we were kids and you called my mudda a whor.....??? LOL

I'm not offended. Here is what I know. I'm very proud of my find, it was one of my most satisfying. Probably one of my top 10. I'm new to this site. (check my profile) got my Daughter to snap some photos and load them on the PC so I was just sharing. I got as many Questions as I have story's to share. you being a Hero member I hope you ment to be funny.
I did check on ebay several times and they are getting pretty close to red book. just a matter of grade. and I tend to agree with the distinguished gentlman from Indiana, CM.
I'm not gonna sell it any time soon Just sharing my joy. She is a definate KEEPER.

Thanks for your input CRH Mojo

You sure that worn out lady is worth $90+ ?

i think mr awhitster is probably just going through a rough spell, maybe the competition is fierce in his area.

coinrollhunter - awesome find, when you're only searching halves there are less than a dozen key dates that you actually have any chance of finding. i dream of finding a 38d or a 21, WTG!

Congrats that is great. wish I could find one.

I'm not going through a rough spell. I am just surprised that a worn one like that is worth that much. It is still a "worn out Lady" in my book. A very expensive one I guess.

Thought I'd give you another look to help me grade this coin

I got it between VG-8 & F-12 according to 60th edition 2007 RED BOOK $105 / $115 respectively

Thanks for your help

Use Red Book pricing as a guideline only. The 2007 edition came out in April 2006 and probably reflects January or February 2006 prices. The PCGS website can give you accurate and up-to-date values.

Thanks for the tip Immy
