Worked hard all day cutting up some downed limbs and helping work up the new flower bed. Finally I decided to head out and not come back without something good. Went to 3 different spots and dug all kinds of alum cans and canfetti, not even a memorial. Finally just as the sun went down, I got a coin signal and dug down about 5 inches. At first I thought I'd found a Skoal can lid but it was way too heavy when I picked it up. It says "Mickey Mouse 1937 Hollywood Calif. USA around the rim and Mickey's holding a paint brush.

What little I could find on the net.

My husband has had a round Mickey Mouse belt buckle since he was a child. It's 2½ inches in diameter, with an embossed Mickey holding a paintbrush. Above him are the embossed words "Mickey Mouse, 1937, Hollywood, Cal., U.S.A." Can you tell me what it's worth?
It's worth very little, because it's one of two well-known Mickey Mouse belt-buckle fakes manufactured in large quantities during the 1970s. No buckle like it was ever authorized or licensed by Disney, in 1937 or any other year. The other fake that often turns up is a rectangular buckle showing Mickey peering through a telescope.
