OWG...These were found at a house built in 1852..

Maybe the brass thing was a boot scraper?

there was a tavern that was on the property in the late 1700's. it that helps?
the button is small..about a half inch across.

Button-collectors call the type you found a brass one-piece flatbutton. The backmark on yours has the British spelling of the word color (as colour), so it was manufactured in Britain. Yours has an indented-lettering backmark, which dates it from about 1810 into the 1840s. But, American clothing-makers stopped importing British-made brass one-piece buttons in the late-1830s, so yours was manufactured sometime between 1810 and the early-1830s.

also i see maybe some kind of animal stamping on one end??
looks like a manatee to me? lol.
the teeth ate straight across...
you guy's might be right..should i call this solved?
the token was probably an election thing for the candidate running for county commissioner..?? can't find who the guy was??

I HAVE SEEN THIS SAWTOOTH RELIC BEFORE AND CANT RECALL THE NAME FOR IT .
