Hello!

I met up with Ron & Richard today at a new area where some neat old treasures have been found lately. After about an hour or so I just couldn't seem to find anything myself there, so headed back downtown where it seems that I always find something worthwhile. Here's what I dug today:

1936-S Washington Quarter
1942-S Mercury Dime
One Agora from Israel (aluminum)
3 wheats ~ 1921, 1945, & 1952-s
Silver Ring
6 clad quarters
18 clad dimes
1 modern nickel
81 Memorial cents
Zippo Lighter

I took pictures of the silver items before and after I cleaned 'em up. These are my silver coin finds #80 & #81 for the year.

The Silver ring isn't marked 925 or STERLING ~ the only marking is an eagle's claw (jeweler's mark?).

I'm not sure how to tell what the date is on the coin from Israel. Anyone know?

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Sweet silver coins Neil....WTG
and the ring is nice looking. Ya gonna
send the Zippo in to be repaired? I got my
#67 today. Gold Nuggets :hello:

I have no clue as to the date of the coin nor how much silver the ring may contain, but I sure think both are way cool!
WTG!

At the rate you're finding silver, you might hit 100 before the end of the year! All you need is a little bit of a streak...or maybe a weeks vacation.

That foreign coin would have made a great looking token.

Nashoba: Good to see your post. Hope all is well with you and that you're getting out detecting.

HA HA ~ thanks man!

Here's the story behind that picture . . . . . I'm a property manager. One of my elderly tenant passed away (he was like 94 years old) ~ he had no family or kids ~ there was nobody to take a way all his stuff~ so we gave it all away! His place was full of such old stuff (but nothing too exciting) ~ the guy was stuck in the 1960's! I put on his glasses and took this picture with the camera on my cell phone.

Neil,

Nice finds! Seems like you and Richard have done pretty well lately. I am ready to try getting out again, so maybe I will have something to add to the discussion at some point.

Keep 'em coming!
