Got this from a Good Will close to where I work a couple of days ago, on my lunch break.
I wasn't sure if it was real or a reproduction, but I decided to take the $1.99 gamble anyway.
Glad I did.
This thrift store is in a newer developed area in Denver, and almost all the stuff ever there in new crap.
I go mainly to pick up shirts for digging and detecting, and the occasional wall shelf.
Not much else ever there. It's by a sculptor named Jo Davidson, and as far as I know, aren't reproduced.
There are a couple of FleaBay, but look to be in better shape. Mine has some minor pitting, and a small chip on the marble,
but otherwise in decent shape. Love the fact that I'd been watching the Ken Burns F.D.R. documentary last week, and this appears.
