I had to travel for work today. After I finished I got the opportuity to do a little metal detecting in Sedalia, MO and much to my surprise the only coin I found was a 1934 Australian Florin. I found this in the front yard of a 70 year old farm house.

Neat coin. congrats.

You just never know do you? I found a Jamacian penny by the front entrance to a church here in Oklahoma. Really makes you wonder how things turn up where they do. Nice going. JIM aka KS

Nice coin, Your right things just turn up every where. I found a 1939 austarlian penny here in p.a at my uncle's farm house. It's about the size of a half dollar and has a kangaroo on the back. Goes to show how much culture was around here back in the day.

Nice finds. I had to go down under to get mine.

This must be my month for foriegn coins. Yesterday I found a Finish (from Finland) 1 penni and the other day I found a Philipino 25 something or other.

Nice coin! Silver is great any day, and doesn't really matter where it was minted! I have found 3 foreign coins since I started detecting in March - a 1988 British 20 Pence, a Canadian 25 cent commemorative quarter, and 25 cent quarter from the Bahamas. All new, but pretty cool to wonder about!
