1933 Worlds fair whatsit, and some other whatsit! Solved thanks!

Hello everyone, today I have two somethings that I am curious about, the first is a something from the 1933 Chicago Worlds Fair and looks like it might be some little box thingy, I would like to know for sure and maybe see what it is supposed to look like. The second item is a little container of some kind, I would like to know for what and from when if possible, as always thanks for reading and any input, and enjoy the pics!

My screen is not large enough to read your post but
the item before the compact looks like a matchbox cover.

The round thing is a makeup container. I have one that is identical to yours except it has the word ”Luxor“ on top and might be just a little larger. Mine contained rouge and dates to the 1920’s and 30’s. It still had what was left of a brush inside. I have never found a value for it or much information but I don’t think it’s worth much if anything.

Thank you Bigcypresshunter and LizardsKeep for the info on these items, BCH do you think it held those little box matches? or a book of matches? And LK I wish mine did have a name on it so I could do some checking on it, seems like here lately I am finding lots of make up stuff, lipstick last week, another one the same day as this, etc. Again thanks for your input on this. HH!

I think its a cover for a box of wood matches. Can we see a side view?

It is most likely a Luxor container since it is the same design as mine. Also the wreath that decorates the top is identical to mine.

Hi again all. here are those pics for you BCH, also the item is 2 1/8thX 1 3/4X 3/16th, I think that this must be the top of the box then, open it and pull out your box of matches, and thanks again for your help!

Ok … so my memory isn’t what it used to be. Lol The wreath is different as you can see and they both look to be the same size.

Now that I see the side view, the type of matchbox covers I have seen where different but I guess its still the best guess. It may be for loose matches.
