While we're on the subject of this beautiful coin--why are they so rare? I have found several Seated Liberty quarters and a like number of Barbers, but no SLQs. The mintages seem higher in the SLQs, but most of my reading on the subject describes them as seldom found. Any thoughts?

Very nice....sure don't see many with the date so well preserved!

Well Done - ;)

1930 was smack in the Great Depression. I bet the person that had that coind back then felt like they had a hundred dollar bill on them.

No idea. It is very odd. I have only found one of these with no date so far. It might be because people are actually looking for "too old" of sites to find them.
