Went again to my parent's house to hopefully find more goodies. I had started out at the public park but was told by the park supervisor that she didn't want people metal detecting at the park. WTH?!
Anyways...on to my parent's house. After finding a partially broken jack piece, some Lincoln memorials and a 1944 wheatie, I pulled what I thought was another wheatie but after looking a bit closer I noticed it said 1924. I was perplexed and gave it enough of a rub to see both sides...and then I really couldn't believe it! A 1924 German 2-cent piece?! How it ended up in southwest Indiana is still confusing....

Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!

it must be a 2 center day, but that is just fine, especially one like this one, maybe soldier brought there or one of the German immigrants back then.

Nice digs . Thanks for the pics

I suspect it came home after WWII or as Dirtlooter said came over with an immigrant after WWI. I love finding foreign coins. Great dig.
