1918 mercury-first silver

Today was awesome. Found this between the street and the sidewalk near a large old church. Cut the hole and it was about two handfulls down. Just lied there shining. It is the first silver that I have found. Now, I've seen prettier but I love her just the way she is.

Yeah, that's the way to get it going. Congratulations. Mercs are great.

Try a little ammonia on the dime...should remove the crude. Let soak for 1/2 hour or so.
